Friday photo finish fiesta - Farmers market
The best day to visit Carrie is on Friday!
Today I am presenting you with a virtual photo fest - as some of you know we regularly visit our local farmers market on Saturday mornings depending on weather. It runs from around 5:30 am to 9:00am so it is an early morning run. Apart form veggies and meat, have a look at just a sampling of the offerings:
Our daily bread.
Pretty tins filled with sweet treats.
Chocolate fudge, honey fudge and coconut ice.
One man's junk is an other's treasure.
Cupcakes - yummy!
Some acoustic guitar and a few Leonard Cohen songs with your coffee?
The real Dutch stuff.
Now this is what we call pancakes.
Gerberas.
Lovely South African dried fruit and nuts.
God's most precious blooms.
Bouncies
African art
Wrought iron work
Orchids - beautiful!
Beef or pork?
Herbs for life
Something for the sweet tooth.
Home made fashion for Barbie and Ken.
African beadwork.
Pap en kaiings (that is maize porridge and pork rinds - a traditional meal - but not for me)
More beautiful Gerberas.
Impala lillies - an indigenous South African flower
My market basket on the twin stroller.
