BPS - My reason to breathe.

Debi's subject immediately brought these pictures to mind - I am taking it very literally. So above is Little man C and below is Little man L during which was the worst week of parenthood in my life up to now. They were all of 6 months old and the 3 of us spent the week in hospital with RSV and bronchiolitus. They had 3 hourly nebulizer treatments and were permanently on oxygen. I am just grateful that it has never happened again.

Playing along with Debi today.....

  3. Thanks for stopping by my blog! I've been a bit slow with it lately, as I just don't have the energy for much these days. But I feel there is so much to do yet before the girls arrive! I guess there will always be things to do:) I look to moms like you who have twins and an older sibling who will be about the same difference in age when my girls are born, as proof that it CAN be done. I know it will be tough, but am looking forward to all of the fun too.

  5. That can be such a scary thing!! My oldest had RSV when she was 2 months old; luckily she was a full-term baby and had that going for her. My middle one has asthma and when she has issues it is so scary. I'm so happy that the little men have not had any recurrences!!

  9. @Kelly - Little Man C developed asthma shortly after that. The doc thinks it could have been a trigger. He is doing so well on his meds though it is great.

  10. Nothing worse than having sick kiddy winks, I had three sick babies this week and it is such an awful feeling, I felt so helpless at times. Good news is they are on the road to recovery.

    Your kids are beautiful

  11. Awwww the hospital visits. I know them so well. The 2 hourly nebs, the oxygen, twice a day with the physio, sleeping in a chair or the floor. I know all about it. I will never forget it.

  13. Oh, we had similar thoughts!

What scary times :( I'm so happy to already know the outcome of this!!

It's so hard to believe that your little ones were so little at one point, right? I look back at pictures from the NICU and think, "wow. they really WERE tiny."
