Phriday Photo Phinish Phiesta

The street that I drive on my way home, 4 weeks ago.

The same street, Monday afternoon.

For about two months every year our city is transformed into the "Jacaranda city" of the world. Everything is purple! Most streets in the older part of the city is lined with Jacarandas and from viewpoints the whole city looks purple.
Go check out at Candid Carrie who else is playing along.

I wonder if Jacarandas grow in the Southern US? My SIL loves the color purple - Wouldn't that be great to brighten up the yard?
