So as I've mentioned on Friday morning, we had a bit of drama on Thursday night - that is now apart from my stressed state of mind at the time. After brushing The Little Miss' teeth, I always swing her by both arms from the bathroom mat to the bedroom carpet and her hand was wet and slipped! She landed with her head on the door frame and started to cry hysterically. I picked her up,hugged and consoled her, just to get a huge fright when I noticed my hand full of blood! I got such a shock and on checking the wound realized that this was emergency room material. Luckily we had Lucy staying the night as we were both home late from work, so we could both take her and leave Lucy with the sleeping boys.
At the emergency room we were lucky enough not too wait too long and she had to get 7 clips placed in the wound. The bandage was placed to keep the dressing in place just for Thursday night. By Friday morning we could take it off. On Friday we need to head back to have the clips out. Let's hope it all heals well.
In mommy and daddy's bed Thursday night where she slept. Check out the cute little bear she got at the hospital.
Oh yes, and for those who asked - Tick byte fever is a disease you get from a virus carried by ticks. The symptoms are a migraine like headache, stiff neck, nausea and flu like symptoms. It really makes you feel like crap, But it is not dangerous for healthy grown ups (asked me, I've had it 4 times!). And it is not uncommon to contract it if you spend some time in the bush in Africa.
Oh no!
ReplyDeleteFeel better Little Miss (although she looks pretty darn happy in this photo, but maybe that's just to sleep in Mom and Dad's bed!) Oh the crazy things that happen to kids!!

ReplyDeleteNot only both on the door frame, but both on a Thursday! We'll have to keep them away from door frames on Thursdays!!!
