Makes my Monday - date night and a great party.
Playing along with Cheryl as on every Monday.
A great night out - just perfect! We had such a great date night on Friday and promptly decided to do it more often. We saw "Earth" - great to see it on the big screen and such a moving message. Then we went to our favorite late night restaurant, Crawdaddy's and had a great meal. The food is really great and we had such a great time actually talking and listening to each other. No big issues discussed, just great small talk. Food for the soul and relationship.

Miss Emma had her 6th birthday party on Saturday at a great venue - we have never been there before and I was really pleasantly surprised. Rocky Ridge Mini town is a cute little town, complete with streets, traffic signs, working lights, a town square with fountain and traffic lights and tri-cycles and scooters to ride around in.
The town square with the restaurant and drive through and the chapel in the background. Also featuring:
A police station with cells - inside was a radio, telephone, police uniforms, fire mans uniforms etc.
A school (on the left) complete with desks, blackboard etc and a B&B on the top with kitchen, bedroom etc.
Got to love the school's colours.
A hospital with sick dolls and lots of equipment including doctors and nurses outfits.
The restaurant and drive-through has a well equipped kitchen and cute table settings.
Miss Emma was the first chef in charge.
Her first customers.
A farm with a windmill, dam and some fresh produce.
In the chapel was a wedding dress and dolls in Christianing gowns, a pulpit and font.
Very tongue-in-cheek, based on the time my kids spent in the little town, we will one day have:
An engineer/ contractor/ architect...... or maybe a farmer.
A doctor or nurse or some form of health professional.
And a teacher! She spent so much time teaching some of the other kids in the school. 3 of her 4 grandparents were teachers so I guess it is in the blood.
And just because I love them so much:
Leo
Chris
Anne.
I'm blessed!

That looks like so much fun! how whimsical!!
ReplyDeleteSo nice that you two got out on a date night...we need one SOOOO Badly but have been so busy and the kids just seem so needy lately that there just doesn't seem to be any opportunity for it. :-(
You had asked about Adam sleeping - he's been a bit better...down to only 1x a night for the most part now and I've stopped feeding him in hopes of getting him back to sleeping. His being sick was a bit of a set back...but hopefully within a week or two we'll be sleeping all night again *hopefully*
...I noticed you started using the kids' names on the blog....
That place looks like such fun. My kids would love that!
ReplyDeleteThat venue is genius! I would love to take my kids to a place like that.

Happy Belated Birthday to Miss Emma!
