A wing and a prayer...

Today, I have a prayer request, if you are the praying kind. If not, some positive thoughts or what ever will also help.

Remember our friends?

Every night as a family, we read the bible and pray. How the kids pray is really a post all on it's own, but when Hunter and I pray, we have a huge list of friends where we ask Jesus to give them little friends for our kids too. Sometimes it seems that we know more people who are struggling to fall pregnant and keep the babies, than we know of friends who are actually having babies. My heart bleeds for every single one of them.
Last night, we could change our list. In stead of asking for a little baby for Lasca, we could pray that Jesus will keep our new little friend safe in Lasca's womb. What a joy! What an absolute joy!

This couple has been through so much (we are not even counting the amount of procedures any more - but we are nearing the 20s) - one surrogacy pregnancy failed and then the clever doctors discovered a new angle on the issue. And she, herself is pregnant now. 9 weeks!

So can I please ask you to join us in prayer to keep this little one safe too!

  2. Oh I am so impressed! After I tuck them in, I pray with each child individually (and D does when he's there on weekends) but we don't read Bibles with them yet. When did you start?

Re Lasca, I am absolutely the praying kind (especially for babies!) and have already prayed for her and her precious gift from God.

  3. @Marcia, we satart really early with a colourful children's bible with little text. We do it all together and they grow so fond of their bedtime bible stories. Of course, the princess wants another story after that once she is in her bed (we read bible in the twin's bedroom)

  7. Such wonderful news honestly brought tears to my eyes and I can so relate to your joy for your friend. My closest, lifelong friend has been trying for years to have a baby, with no luck. She is now 10 weeks along and I seriously may be more excited for her than I was for myself when I got pregnant! Hoping and praying for both of our dear friends and their precious babes!
