My mom has green fingers

No seriously she does. Well, she has always been known for her lovely roses, her pretty garden and this one spectacular orchid that flowers every winter? Last year it had 9 strings - this year it was 11! Spectacular to say the least.

So for your Friday viewing pleasure:
11 Strings of spectacular beauty with up to 10 flowers per stem.
The Princess with my string with 10 flowers (some hidden behind others), now giving me much joy in the house.

  3. They are so beautiful the flowers and make such a pretty picture with your daughter.
My father-in-law is just like your mom. His garden is just as beautiful - it's the love (and time) they put into the garden, that makes it such a success.

  7. I've never known or seen anyone who had orchids growing in their yard.  Especially orchids like that.  Did it pain you to cut it?

  11. This is gorgeous...I have never seen orchids grow so well outside of a greenhouse.  I can't keep a plant alive for a year.

  14. Shew, they are stunning and I'm so awed.  What is her secret?  I really would love to try and grow them, but the one I was given did not survive, or at least it has no flowers, but I don't know what to actually do now ... lol.
