Weekend report

So I am two weekends behind on my weekend reports - for those who are new to this, I try to do these 6 items to really try and make my precious weekends count. If you want to play along, why don't you?

The weekend of the 21st and 22nd was off course a special one - it was Hunter's birthday. So a lot centered around that:

1. Do something for my hubby
I gave him the biggest part of Saturday to attend his study group and organized a little party for just the 5 off us. The kids had calamari and chips and cupcakes with candles for dad after.

And how do you have a special night out without a baby sitter? Ask you favorite restaurant to prepare a seafood platter for two take away (plus some calamari and chips for the kids), enjoy with a great glass (or 2) of South African chardonnay and enjoy each other's company.

2. Something for each of the kids
We rook the kids to Safari - a local nursery and tea garden for a treat. Truly beautiful with lots of swans and animals - the kids loved it. But the Boys were already a bit edgy starting to feel sick, so we had to cut it short

She loved the statue.

The little Miss and Copper formed an instant relationship.

A rare appearance on a photo

We had a camel ride. (His name is Wally!)

And had lunch at the tea garden.

3. Something for the puppies
They had their usual walk and a great snack on Sunday night.
4. Something for someone outside of my direct family that shares my home
I took an extra large bag of apples for all the horses - I guess that counts. They all loved it off course.
5. Something for the house
I really did a huge chunk of my de- cluttering operation. No need to say more.
6. And something for myself.
I attended Joan Friedman's talk on Friday night, bought the book and went riding on Saturday afternoon.

A great weekend I think!
