For the love of Lego
Have I ever mentione my love of Lego? I used to be a Lego kid - my favortite toys. In fact, I still have some left that my mom kept and that I have on occasion brought out for the Lil Miss. For her second birthday we bought her the Duplo house - it has changed a bit over the last 3 years, but it is still a fantastic toy and I would urge all moms with daughters to invest in this. Even her (boy) cousin of 10 play with it when he gets the chance - a value for money toy if you ask me). The Boys got their first Duplo for Christmas and last night I took out the boxes before dinner time. My, did they have a great time all building something! (some pieces added are from Mega Blocks Cinderella's castle that fit Duplo). While the littlelies just built some blocks and drove the cars around, the Lil Miss had a huge castle building opperation going.

I LOVE lego too!
ReplyDeleteMy kids dont seem as fond of it though but once they start they do enjoy it!!!
I think I grew up in the days of NO lego...as didn't have them as toys, but my kids did.
ReplyDeleteStuffing photo's...and lol...noticed that toilet.
Legos are awesome. Hayden is a big fan.
ReplyDeleteLoved lego...and kept it for my grand babas! I love the duplo castle, will be a perfect gift for Leane's next birthday in August.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos...the little miss is in such deep concentration.
Lynette, the castle is off the market, but the house is still around.
ReplyDeleteJen, as we have said before - maybe arranged marriages are not that old fashioned ;)
We always loved Legos in our house too. My brother and his boys have all his and more.
ReplyDeleteYaya loves to build with the Mega blocks so maybe we'll have to think about some smaller legos soon.
My mum kept all the lego we had (and loved) as kids and it gets played with by the grandkids whenever they're at her house, a display case in the front hall holds models made by my kids and their cousins.
ReplyDeleteMy 13 year old's online handle of choice is legomandave :-) He owns what can only be described as an obscene amount of the stuff. He's recently taken to designing his own models on the lego website and has ordered one of his own creations from the online shop.
Yep, plenty of lego love around here too :-)
I love the pink legos!!
ReplyDeleteHer castle looks stunning, she did a fantastic job. I wasn't much of a lego girl but Joshua has definitely made up for it, he is also lego mad!!!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun those sets look! We love legos too - only thing is my guys sure make a mess to clean up when they are done!
ReplyDeleteI love the look on your kids' faces while they play :)
ReplyDeleteSuch focus!
That castle is gorgeous!! We've got a lot of it too
ReplyDeleteMy kids love Lego due to hubby's influence. If he did not end up in IT he would've been an engineer. I cannot recall playing with Lego much. I preferred any kind of game where I could run around all the time. I never sat still.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the sweet comment. I think about you guys often too. It's a shame we never got to meet!! Hope little L has started growing a little better!
ReplyDeleteLove some Legos too! I love that my girls love them just as much as me. Great toy! I love the pictures!
ReplyDeleteOMG! how ironic...it must've been the weekend for Legos! My nephew brought them along this weekend for a family get together and my older two loved them...so upon our return home, my husband somehow found HIS old legos from when he was a kid (I have NO idea where he had them - I'd never seen them before!?!?!) and all 3 were playing with them tonight before and after dinner :-)
ReplyDeleteLegos - I am definitely getting the Duplos for my LO. She loves playing with the bigger blocks at the moment.
ReplyDeleteI keep landing on your blog, as it seems like we read several of the same ones...and so now I'm officially following you. :)
ReplyDeleteI loved Legos growing up, and I can't wait to play with our girls (now almost 17 months old) in another few months. And wow - I never could have imagined a toilet as part of a Lego set. Small wonders, huh? :)
I should have mentioned that the toilet is not the cutest part of the set - guys, you should see the vacuum cleaner!
