Shayne's really classy one:
When Cat chose the theme 'Books' (taken from last weeks photo of our rings/Bible) I had a picture in my head (you know those!) and i love how this turned out. Remember the Reader's Digest Condensed Books - well we have a ton of them and i thought they would be perfect for this picture. And it worked well - i think. The age of the books is apparent from the colour and it just blends so well with the colour of the piano and the blue of the spines. Just to tell you all - Cat and I have made a decision to use 'un-altered' photos for our TUT. It is so easy to manipulate a photo to the way you would like it to look, but not always so easy to take that pic
My , completely the opposite:

I love both your photo's today...both so different yet showing off Books!!
ReplyDeleteWell done team
I havent linked up as I rush to do my post before I go teach my mommy and have no time...will have to sort myself out as I like the linking up part.
Very nice you two! Love "books" as well!
ReplyDeleteOh what a wonderful, but seemingly equally loved, contrast!
ReplyDeleteThose oft-read board books warm my heart.
Have a great one, Cat!
I love books... I shall have to post a pic of the books next to my bed for you. :0)
ReplyDeleteLOL Wenchy! The tower on my bedside table would have made a great picture too.
ReplyDeletelove both the photos, one old and full of history, the other young and full of fun....they both tell their own unique and beautiful story - I LOVE books....well done!
ReplyDeleteI love books! I love photos of books! I must admit, Cat, your shot is more where my life is at at the moment but I love the tones of Shaynes and I kinda wish I got to read more grown-ups books :-)
ReplyDeleteLove your pic Cat, because I can soooo relate! It also has some artsy feel to it, which I love! "Artsy" is probably not a very appropriate term to use, but I hope you know what I mean!! LOL.
ReplyDeleteI have many stacks of the wee books like you all around! I love that my kids love books as much as I do! I hope it continues as they grow!
ReplyDeleteI think a well worn book is the sign of how much it was loved and treasured. I bet each of your children have begged you to read one or more of those stories 100 times. Am I right?
ReplyDeleteI think both shots are great!
ReplyDeleteLOVE both of these pictures!! (And I think we have many of those same kid books ;) )
ReplyDeleteWe did good yes?
ReplyDeleteI love your shot - impulsive and fun and exactly where you are in your life right now. It suits you perfectly!
I love all the tatered children's books. *sigh* I love all things children. :)
